Privacy policy

In this policy, “Joey”, “we” and “us” mean Joey. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

Company workspaces have a separate privacy notice. The browser extension has its own privacy notice.

• Account data: your name, email address and sign-in details.
• Data you give us: your requests, preferences and messages to our team.
• Connected accounts: if you connect an account, such as Google, Slack, X, Facebook or GitHub, we receive basic profile details, contacts, and the participants, dates and counts of your messages and meetings. We do not keep message text, email subjects or attachments.
• Website: your email address if you join the waitlist, and visit measurements without cookies.

We use personal data to provide and protect the service you ask for, and to contact you about it.

If you share your answers about people you know, other users can see that you can introduce them. This setting is on by default. You can turn it off in Settings.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Joey's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy.

We use Google user data only for the service you request. People read it only with your agreement or where Google permits it. We do not use it for advertising or product training. You can remove access in your Google account.

Service providers process personal data for us, only to run the service. We disclose data when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

• We keep data while your account is open.
• When you disconnect an account, we delete its data within 24 hours.
• When you delete your Joey account in Settings, we delete its personal data within 7 days.
• Deleted data leaves our backups within 30 days.
• To remove Facebook data, disconnect Facebook in Joey or remove Joey in your Facebook settings.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw your consent. You can also complain to a data protection authority. These rights also apply to people who do not use Joey.

Write to privacy@getjoey.io. We answer within one month, or within 45 days where California law applies.

Our hosting is in the United States. If you live elsewhere, this involves an international transfer.

You must be 18 or older to use Joey.

We update the date at the top when this policy changes, and we tell you before important changes take effect.
